Developed at Zeon's asteroid fortressA Baoa Qu, the MA-08 Big Zam was originally intended to be used for the attack onJaburo. It was expected that after mass production, a company of Big Zams would be dropped onto Jaburo and instantly capture the Earth Federation headquarters. However, Big Zam's overwhelming firepower came at a prohibitive production cost of as much as twoMusai-classcruisers which made mass-production virtually impossible for the financially-strained Zeon Armed Forces.
